Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and amCharts (Antanas Marcelionis) for using the amCharts Editor at live.amcharts.com and charts published at chart.amcharts.com. By using the editor you agree to them. If you don’t agree,
please don’t use it.
1. The service
The editor is a browser tool for building charts from templates, saving them, and exporting or publishing them. We’re actively developing it, so features may change and some parts may be in preview.
2. Your account
- You can try the editor without an account, but saving and publishing need one (email, or Google/GitHub sign-in).
- Keep your login details secure — you’re responsible for activity under your account.
- Give accurate information, and use the editor only if you’re at least 16 (or 13 in the US).
3. Free and Pro
- Free includes saving a limited number of charts and a storage limit.
- Pro adds publishing and higher limits — see Pricing.
- Payments are handled by Paddle, our reseller and merchant of record. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel; you can cancel or switch back to Free anytime and keep Pro until the current period ends.
- Prices may change — we’ll let you know before a change affects you. Refunds are handled through Paddle and any rights you have under law.
4. Your charts and data
- Your charts and the data in them are yours — we don’t claim ownership.
- You give us permission to store, process, and display your content so we can run the service, including making published charts publicly available.
- You’re responsible for what you upload or publish, and you confirm you have the right to use that content and data.
5. Publishing
Publishing makes a chart public to anyone with the link. Search engines and caches may copy it; unpublishing removes it from us, but copies cached elsewhere may linger. Don’t publish anything unlawful, infringing, misleading, or harmful.
Published charts live under a username (handle) you choose, which is a Pro feature. Handles are unique and assigned first-come — don’t pick one that impersonates others or infringes a trademark. We may reclaim, rename, or release handles (for example, ones that are misleading, infringing, or unused) at our discretion.
6. Acceptable use
Don’t misuse the editor: no illegal or infringing content, no malware, nothing deceptive or harassing, and don’t try to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service or access other people’s data.
7. Removal & suspension
We may remove published content or suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the law. You can flag a published chart from its report link or via Support.
8. Our rights and the amCharts library
The editor — its templates, design, and the amCharts name — belongs to us or our licensors. You get a limited right to use the service; we keep everything else.
Charts you build use the amCharts charting library, which has its own license. A Pro subscription pays for the editor — it is not an amCharts library license. To use your charts elsewhere, you can rely on the amCharts standard (free) license, or buy a commercial license from the amCharts store.
9. Third-party services
The editor relies on services such as the amCharts CDN, Supabase, Cloudflare, and Paddle. We aren’t responsible for their outages, and their own terms may apply to your use of them.
10. No warranty
The editor is provided “as is.” We work to keep it reliable, but we can’t promise it will always be available, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. You’re responsible for checking the charts you create and publish.
11. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or a small nominal amount if you’re on Free). Nothing here limits rights that can’t be limited by law.
12. Ending your use
You can stop anytime and delete your charts or your account. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms. Deletion is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to these terms
We’ll update these terms as the service grows. The version and date are shown at the top; we’ll flag material changes. Continuing to use the editor after an update means you accept the new terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union, without affecting the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
15. Contact
